The project

DORIS studied a case for offshore hydrogen production from power delivered by a floating wind farm. Various solutions for hydrogen production studied and compared (offshore distributed/centralized, onshore). Positive conclusion on offshore distributed hydrogen production.

Scope of Work

Concept study including power production, hydrogen production, electrical transmission, gas export.

Study includes:

  • Engineering of all solutions :
    • Power production
    • Centralized H2 topsides
    • Integration of H2 plant on floating support
    • Electrical network
    • Hydrogen gas network
  • Risk analysis
  • Cost estimate (CAPEX/OPEX) – NPV

Facility

1 GW PEM Electrolysers
