DORIS is delivering two FEED contracts across this floating offshore wind project for BadaEnergy.
Project outline
The Gray Whale 3 floating offshore wind farm is set to have a capacity of 504 MW. Situated approximately 60-70 km from the port of Ulsan, the project is part of the three-phase Gray Whale development which is expected to reach a total capacity of 1.5 GW and become one of the largest floating offshore wind farms in the world.
BadaEnergy is a joint venture between Corio Generation, TotalEnergies and SK ecoplant.
Services delivered by DORIS
DORIS has been selected to deliver two FEED contracts on the Gray Whale 3 offshore wind farm. The first FEED, awarded in consortium with HHI, covers the floating units of the project including the design and the procurement and installation of the floaters and their station keeping systems.
The second FEED contract DORIS is executing includes the project’s full electrical and communications system to the grid connection, array and export cabling, and all aspects of the fixed offshore substation foundation and topsides structure.
DORIS is drawing on its extensive track record in South Korea – which currently exceeds over 3 GW – and its expert capability in floating offshore wind to deliver these contracts.
