DORIS France has an opportunity for a Lead Technical Safety / Loss Prevention Engineer based in our Paris Headquarters Office.
Job Description:
DORIS France is looking for an experienced safety engineer who should act as lead engineer on different projects.
Your range of activity will cover all markets addressed by DORIS: Oil & Gas, LNG, renewable energies and new energies, offshore and onshore engineering, green and brown field projects. Your scope of responsibilities will encompass engineering projects and discipline development.
Engineering projects
You will be involved in a large range of projects from conceptual phases to basic and detailed engineering phases with a wide variety of activities, including but not limited to:
- Perform, lead and coordinate work for technical safety documentation during engineering of projects
- Participation in safety workshops on project (eventually chairing ) HAZOP, HAZID, SIL review…
- Participation to Plot plan reviews and 3D model reviews.
- Preparation and supervision of site survey, onshore and offshore,
- Vendor technical follow-up including Request For Quotation preparation, technical clarification and Vendor data review,
- Interfacing with client and internal project teams
- Coordination of safety engineers team
You will be responsible for the preparation of quotation offers, the technical bid evaluation and the follow-up of subcontracted safety studies (FRA, ERA, EERA, QRA, TRA, dropped object study, ship collision study, etc) with direct communication with our clients/subcontractors.
You will liaise and cooperate with other DORIS technical disciplines (process, layout, 3D models, structure, mechanical rotating, pipeline…) as part of your assignment on projects. As a lead engineer, you will be responsible (and report to the project management) for the progress of your discipline.
Discipline development
As lead of the safety discipline, you will participate in maintaining DORIS experience and adapt methodologies and know-how to the evolution of state of the art and to the market needs. This includes involvement in R&D activities through internal studies, development of engineering tools, and supervision of trainees.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering with specialization in industrial risk control, loss prevention or industrial safety,
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore & onshore safety engineering for Oil & Gas project,
- Fluent English – Good written (including report writing) and verbal communication,
- Good working knowledge of applicable regulations, codes of practice, international standards,
- Strong knowledge of PHAST and Pipenet,
- Familiar with 3D model viewer software Naviswork,
- Mobility required in particular for collaboration with foreign DORIS subsidiaries and participation to surveys in France and abroad offshore and onshore.
