Supporting the development of the low carbon hydrogen industry

Hydrogen holds an important role in the energy transition. With an increasing need for low carbon hydrogen to decarbonise industry and heavy mobility in a sustainable way, DORIS draws on its expertise to support the development of blue and green hydrogen strategies and associated projects.

We have successfully completed numerous engineering and consulting missions for low-carbon hydrogen producers, states, and contractors. Ranging from a few megawatts of electrolysis capacity up to gigawatts, DORIS has been involved across the whole green hydrogen value chain, resolving challenges associated with production, transport and storage.

We support our clients from the earliest phase of their developments starting with the permitting process; we engineer the overall project from electricity production to hydrogen export, recommend the most adapted technologies based on our expert knowledge, and prepare EPC consultations and supervise contractors in the execution phase.

DORIS aims to improve access to low-cost hydrogen, and to support states, operators and final users in the development of low-carbon hydrogen projects.

Producing at-scale offshore

While producing blue and green hydrogen onshore will be the first step in large-scale global developments, DORIS strongly believes that developments will need to move offshore to meet the strong demand anticipated. This will require a considerable amount of decarbonized electricity that could only be produced by offshore wind farms.

Our ambition to develop large-scale green hydrogen production plants has led DORIS to develop NereHyd™. NereHyd™ is a unique product that combines our partner Lhyfe’s expertise in green renewable hydrogen production with DORIS’ floating wind turbine solution NereWind™. The NereHyd™ solution, which incorporates a hydrogen production facility into the floater of a wind turbine, can be deployed for on-grid and off-grid application, from small-scale 10-megawatt wind turbines to large-scale wind farms with several hundred megawatts of capacity.
