The Role:
- Control and delivery of Project Controls for multiple or large and complex scopes
- Able to act as Project Control focal point and to mentor Junior team members
- A functional expert in either Cost, Planning or Reporting and an excellent understanding of other Project Control elements
- Able to provide support to Project Services Manager as well as internal and Client project teams
Scope of Responsibilities:
Cost Control
- Responsible for project specific margin and pricing analysis in order to support tender pursuits and identification of opportunities to optimise profitability
- Responsible for developing and maintaining benchmark data and norms for use in pricing proposals
Planning
- Responsible for developing, controlling and maintaining analysis and reporting of schedule related aspects for assigned projects
Project Controls
- Monitor, control and analysis of the project schedule and cost information using Earned Value methodologies, identification of variance and highlighting for the attention of the Project Manager with proposed actions
- Preparation of bespoke/specific reports to facilitate project control analysis
- Responsible for the provision of trended data to the Programme and/or Project Manager based on performance trends to date and emerging trends
- Responsible for project specific contribution to Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle

- Excellent working knowledge of all elements of Project Controls (Cost control, Project estimating, planning, scheduling, reporting and change)

- Self motivated, with excellent analytical skills and ability to work under own initiative
- Strong contractual appreciation and a good understanding of typical legal parameters and restrains
- Team Leadership skills
- Excellent understanding and experience of the following project scopes; EPC, FEED and Detailed Design
- A working understanding of the engineering principles involved in a typical FEED and Detailed Design
Qualifications/Experience:
- Engineering degree or equivalent with extensive Project Management experience
- Preferably Prince 2 Practitioner or APM equivalent
