The Role:
The Project Services Manager is responsible for the effective provision and competent functioning of Project Services for the various project teams based across all offices where DORIS UK conducts its business.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Management of the following Project Services functions:
Liaison with the Head of Operations with respect to the need and compliance with SOP connected with the provision of Project Services
- Project Cost Management, Reporting and Forecasting
- Project Secretarial support
- Project Document Management, Control and Archiving
- Project Planning & Control
- Project Change Order Management
- Project Risk Management
- Liaison with Business Line Heads
- Liaison with Finance Director
- Liaison with Commercial Director
- Liaison with Project Managers
Management of workload for Project Services team including:
- Identification of required personnel resources and appropriate tools
- The composition of recruitment profiles to meet the required personnel resources
- Review and short-listing of recruitment candidates
- Managing the interviewing and selection of candidates
- Assessing the competency of the Project Services team and any new appointments
- Management of the deployment and subsequent reassignment of the project services resources
- Performance of regular staff project service personnel appraisals and the identification of future training requirements
Management of Project Reports and Project Service Functions (including invoicing)
- Identification with the Business Line Heads and individual Project Managers of the project reports and the project functions required to meet both DORIS and client requirements
- The delegation of the various project reports and project service functions to competent project services personnel either assigned to one or more projects or assigned to cover the various business streams
- The regular verification that the various project reports and project service functions are being carried out in an efficient, timely, appropriate and accurate manner
- Taking appropriate corrective action in the event that any of the project reporting or project service functions are not in conformance with DORIS or Client requirements
Development of Project Reports, Planning and Resource Management Systems
- Management of the development of high-level Project Reports based on existing and future in-house systems in conjunction with the Directors of Commercial and Finance
- Development, updating and monitoring for compliance of the various SOP and Project procedures required for the production of Project Reports
- Management of the induction and training of project personnel in the use of existing and future in-house systems
Ongoing Management and Review of Project Services Systems and Resources
- Ongoing management and review of existing and future Project Services systems and resources required to meet the expanding and changing needs of DORIS business
- Evaluation of the need, availability and cost of appropriate tools (particularly software) to support the project services functions
Providing Project Services assistance with Proposals and Pre-qualifications
- Provide support to the Proposal Managers and BD personnel with Project Services personnel input to bids, pre-qualifications, proposals etc.
- The development (in liaison with Regional, Commercial and Finance Directors) of a standardised “Bid Tab” for the various scopes of work and types of tender encountered by DORIS

Qualifications:
Good technical degree together with Chartered Status and/or equivalent membership of appropriate professional body
This role can be based from DORIS Office in Wimbledon, London or in Great Yarmouth.
