The Role:
DORIS Engineering UK is looking for a dedicated Paralegal Assistant who is keen to gain experience in a professional environment and get exposed to operational, commercial, legal and technical sides of the business. You will be supporting our commercial and legal team with internal and external requirements. This is a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience and knowledge in corporate and commercial law.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Document review and draft of documentation.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders via emails or phone.
- Preparing material for contracts, often to tight deadlines.
- Assisting in drafting contract and other legal documents.
- Managing files and keeping a track on contract completion.
- Some administrative work including form filling, taking notes, scheduling and arranging meetings, arranging for signatures, and more.
Competencies & Soft Skills:
- An understanding of legal processes and documentation, with knowledge in corporate or commercial law would be advantageous.
- Enthusiastic and able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with complex matters.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willing and keen to learn and support the team with various activities.
- Motivated and willing to get stuck in and involved.
- Driven to do an excellent job as efficiently as possible.
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in legal documents and filings.
- Communication – Ability to explain complex legal matters clearly.
- Discretion – Handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Good, positive, can-do attitude.
- Proactive and able to work autonomously.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (including Word, Excel, Power Point).
Qualification:
Undergraduate LLB Law Degree or a Non Law Degree and the PGDL or LPC Graduate.
DORIS Office is based in Wimbledon, London.
